This last week marked the Australian Premieres of both Hometown and Reunion, two plays I wrote last year. Hometown was produced out in Ferntree Gully at the 1812 Theatre, while I directed Reunion myself with a small cast at the Butterfly Club in the city.
Hometown runs until August 3, this coming Saturday, and Reunion until August 25. I'll probably write something a bit more in depth about both shows in the next few days, but for now here are a couple of reviews. Both are interesting reads, although the Hometown one is far more positive. That said, I wasn't at all unhappy with the reaction to Reunion, and we got enough laughs to make me pretty sure that the audience had a good time. Hometown Review Reunion Review Both shows still have tickets available; Hometown from www.1812theatre.com.au and Reunion from www.thebutterflyclub.com.
